Swimming is a sport that has given so much to me. This month I am undertaking my biggest challenge yet, swimming the English Channel.
Given my love of swimming and helping others I am raising funds to go towards teaching adults to swim who are fearful of water, or experienced other barriers preventing them from learning to swim when they were a child.
37% of adults couldn’t save themselves if they fell in water above their head, and/or cannot swim the length of a pool. In addition, kids living in a household with parents/caregivers who cannot swim have only a 20% chance of learning to swim themselves.
